Multiple-choice exams on paper, marked and analysed for you.

Efficient for the professor, reliable for the results, secure for the exam.
No technical burden on the professor
Your involvement is limited to sending a Word document of questions and a student list, then receiving results. There is no manual marking. The workflow is the same for a small seminar and for a cohort of 800 or more.
A unique paper for every student
Question order is randomised, answer choices are shuffled independently, and each paper carries the student’s name or ID. Even two students sitting side by side hold different papers, so copying from a neighbour becomes practically impossible.
Checked before printing, transparent after marking
Every exam is reviewed for formatting problems, ambiguities and answer-key errors before anything is printed. Unclear marks are flagged for a person to review, never guessed. Each student receives an annotated copy, which reduces grade disputes.
Why the person next to you cannot copy.
On a conventional paper exam, everyone in a row holds the same paper. Here, each student’s paper has its own question order and its own arrangement of answer choices, with the student’s name or ID printed on it.
For large question banks, each student can also be given a different random selection of questions. The exam itself still runs under normal supervised, closed-book conditions.
Eight steps, from your Word document to your results.
Each step shows who does it: the instructor, Print&Scan or the institution.
-
Question submission
InstructorSend your questions in a standard Word document: questions numbered 1, 2, 3, answer choices lettered a, b, c, d, and an asterisk (*) before the correct answer. Add a student list with names, ID numbers or both. Send it ideally one month before the exam, and at least two weeks before.
-
Preparation
Print&ScanWe turn the document into a professional, print-ready exam. Questions and choices are structured, French and international typographic conventions are applied, and the scoring scheme is set up: positive marking, negative marking or partial credit. A quality-control review catches formatting problems, ambiguities and answer-key errors before anything is printed.
-
Unique exam generation
Print&ScanA unique paper is generated for every student, with randomised question order, independently shuffled answer choices and the student’s name or ID. For large question banks, each student can receive a different random subset of questions. The answer key, meaning the list of correct answers, is produced for every version, so nobody enters answers by hand.
-
Printing and distribution
InstitutionYour institution prints the files and distributes the papers to the exam rooms. Each student receives their own paper.
-
Exam administration
InstitutionThe exam runs under standard supervised, closed-book conditions. Students must use black pens only: blue pens, pencils, coloured pens and highlighters cannot be read reliably.
-
Scanning
Institution or Print&ScanCompleted papers are scanned and uploaded through a secure file-sharing link that we supply. Scan in black-and-white mode, not colour or grey-scale (shades of grey), remove all staples and clips first, and deliver a PDF.
-
Marking and analysis
Print&ScanEach student’s marked answers are read and matched to their own answer key. Unclear marks are flagged for a person to review rather than guessed. The scoring scheme is applied and a full statistical analysis is produced.
